Natural Studio

About two weeks ago while scanning Blackhead Road for small birds, I had a lengthy encounter with this little female Black and White Warbler.
From start to finish, I had ten minutes with this little bird, while the male sat back and watched her strut her stuff.
If lucky, a typical encounter with a little bird is more like ten seconds. It was really amazing how curious this little bird was.
Some birders really enjoy communing with birds. Well, this was the ultimate communal experience.
She posed and posed, showing me every angle and all her tricks.
At last, she looked at me as if to ask, "Are we done yet?"
With that, she said her goodbyes and flew away. What an opportunity to study this little species. If only this could happen more often.
