There is really no experience like it. Whale watching is awesome!
A recent tour around the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve offered up plenty of opportunities to see large Humpback Whales frolicking in the area.
A chorus of "oohs and aahs" overlaid the Newfoundland jigs and reels (booming out of the loud speaker) with each flash of a tail.
The experience never grows old, even for the boat crew who witness this several times a day. The two and a half hour trip zipped by as time totally evaporated in this magical setting.
There are just some places in Newfoundland that warrant revisiting on an annual basis such as Witless Bay for the birds and whales, Cape St. Mary's to see the Northern Gannets, and Elliston to visit Puffin Island.
