Ocellated Emerald

 This species is more common on the Northern Peninsula than on the Avalon, but here it is. This female Ocellated Emerald was seen in July last year along Power's Road.

Note the widening of the tail on the lower half. It is similar, but not as large as a clubtail dragonfly.
