Moths in NL

This Page is In Progress and may undergo several changes before I finish it.

Over the last year, I have taken an incidental interest in butterflies and moths. They are hard to ignore when I am birding. Knowing little to nothing about them, I have been trying to identify the moths I have seen. The more I looked,  There are many species of moths in the province and so many I will never be able to identify. Nevertheless, as I find them, I will photograph and share here. Hopefully, and ID will follow.

  1. We saw a lot of black moths with a bit of dark blue on their bodies at the hiking trail in Bellevue beach. It was in the evening and they were numerous. No orange on them.
